​The mission of the Congo Square Jazz Orchestra is to provide a professional platform for the music community of New Orleans to explore, recreate, and reimagine the Congo Square contributions to American Music, and the music of the world post-transatlantic slave trade. CSJO presents Congo Square repertoire, African-centered music, and new compositional works; through performances, workshops, archival documentation, and works with community partnerships across Louisiana and the global jazz community.
